Former Vice President Joe Biden announced that he will run for president in 2020.
Biden made the announcement in a video released Thursday morning. He's expected to head to Pittsburgh for a kickoff event next week.
Biden's announcement focuses on a "battle for the soul of this nation"
Take a look at Biden's announcement video this morning. This is absolutely crazy. The video is centered around the 2017 white supremacist protest in Charlottesville, Va. and Biden says THIS is the reason he's running. And he keeps mentioning Charlottesville over and over.
What on earth is this?
Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty - you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!— Donald J. So Biden jumps into the race and immediately seeks to divide based on that Charlottesville BS. This is where we are.— ScottAllanCole (@scottallancole) April 25, 2019
