Excellent job by Dan Joseph who asks some of the people attending a pro-immigration rally in Boulder, CO what they think of Kate's law. Not surprisingly, nobody had a clue what it was. During his interview, he is approached by some goon with the event. He asks him to leave. Joseph is not intimidated whatsoever.
Dan Joseph, a reporter from MRC TV, says he was simply trying to gauge people's awareness of Kate’s Law, a bill proposed by Bill O'Reilly that would would impose a five-year prison sentence on illegal immigrants who are deported, but come back into the U.S. illegally.
The measure has recently become a hot-button issue on Capitol Hill. Sen. Harry Reid blocked a vote this week, a move that O’Reilly called “a blight on American politics."
Kate’s Law is named after 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle, who was shot and killed in San Francisco this summer by a Mexican immigrant who had been deported five times.
None of the participants at the rally knew about the law or its namesake, Joseph later reported.
He got another surprise when a man approached him, telling him to leave.
“You will no longer ask those questions,” the man says. “You’re not welcome here to guests.”
