Russ Feingold: Obama Will Be in Great Shape When He Runs For Re-election, It Will Be Obvious The Stimulus And Health Care Was The Right Thing To Do
Russ Feingold talks to Walter Shapiro of politicsdaily
SHAPIRO: Russ Feingold is facing an uphill battle against conservative Republican plastics manufacturer Ron Johnson, who has been leading in all published polls since July. The irony is that Feingold is under fire not for his dogged independence but for his support of most of Obama's legislative agenda from the 2009 economic stimulus to the health care bill.
Feingold -- who sponsored along with Republican John McCain the landmark 2002 campaign reform legislation -- sat down earlier this month with Politics Daily for a wide-ranging interview. Politics Daily made a similar interview request to the Ron Johnson campaign, but never received a response.
