RNC Chairman Reince Priebus: You Don't Plead the 5th if You're Innocent
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said Thursday that embattled IRS official Lois Lerner did more harm than good when she opted to invoke the Fifth Amendment and refused to answer questions at a House committee hearing on the agency's targeting of conservative groups.
During an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Priebus said that pleading the fifth "implies there are some criminal aspects" of the IRS scandal. John Heileman, a writer for New York Magazine who was sitting on the show's panel, cried foul at that characterization.
"But you don't need to plead the fifth if you've done nothing wrong," Priebus said. "That's not true. That's not what the Fifth Amendment says," Heileman retorted.

President Obama's Prom Photo Unearthed
Photo 1979
The havoc time wreaks on fashion spares no one, not even the president of the United States.
In a newly unearthed photo published Thursday in TIME magazine, a 17-year-old Barack Obama is seen wearing a white dinner jacket as he poses with friends on the night of their senior prom in Hawaii.
The 1979 photo was snapped inside the home of former classmate, Kelli Allman, who was the prom date of the president's close high school friend, Greg Orme. The fourth person in the picture is Obama's date, Megan Hughes.
Allman said the two couples sipped Champagne before going to the dance, and then an after-party.
"It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up and everyone was smiling," she told the magazine.
Allman also gave TIME a snapshot of Obama’s yearbook entry to her.
“You are extremely sweet and foxy,” he wrote. “I don't know why Greg would want to spend anytime with me at all! You really deserve better than clowns like us; you even laugh at my jokes!” (NBC Today)
