Carly Fiorina on GMA: 'Yes, I Am Running For President' (VIDEO)

She should have kicked off her campaign for President by giving a speech, like Rubio, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. Something that would make a lot bigger splash than announcing to Stephanopoulos on GMA and a tweet from her twitter account.  Not the greatest kick off here....

WASHINGTON - Former Hewlett-Packard Co Chief Executive Carly Fiorina announced on Monday she is running for president, becoming the only woman in the pack of Republican candidates for the White House in 2016.

Once one of the most powerful females in the American corporate world, Fiorina registers near the bottom of polls of the dozen or so Republican hopefuls and has never held public office.

"I think I'm the best person for the job because I understand how the economy actually works. I understand the world, who's in it, how the world works," she said when announcing her bid on ABC News' "Good Morning America" show.

Brain-Dead Woman Kept Alive 54 Days Delivers Baby Boy

Karla Perez was just 22 weeks pregnant when she collapsed at her home in Omaha, Nebraska after complaining about a severe headache. She was later pronounced brain dead. The family immediately became concerned for the well-being of her unborn baby, who she had planned to name Angel, and urged doctors to do whatever possible to help him.

Fox News
Doctors in Nebraska prolonged the life of a brain dead woman for 54 days so she could deliver a baby boy named Angel.

Karla Perez, 22, died two days after the delivery, the Washington Post reported late Friday. Angel weighed just 2 pounds, 12.6 ounces at birth.

The last time a brain-dead woman in the U.S. delivered a baby was 1999, the paper said. Baby Angel was delivered earlier this month at Methodist Health System in Omaha.

The hospital said a team of more than 100 doctors, nurses and staff kept Angel's 22-year-old mother Karla Perez alive for 54 days -- just long enough to deliver the baby via cesarean section.

"Our team took a giant leap of faith," Sue Korth, vice president and COO of Methodist Women's Hospital, said in a statement Thursday announcing the successful procedure. "We were attempting something that not many before us have been able to do."

Perez collapsed in her home in Waterloo, Nebraska, on Feb. 8 after complaining of severe headaches. Doctors later determined she had suffered a brain bleed.

Baltimore Mayor Who Said Rioters Should Have 'Space to Destroy' Now Says Rioters Will Be Brought to Justice (VIDEO)

Yeah....Does anybody think these rioters who smashed storefronts, overturned vehicles, set cop cars on fire and looted dozens of businesses are going to be brought to justice? It's not gonna happen and everybody, including the Mayor here know it.
Watch her on MTP with Chuck Todd this morning

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (D) on Sunday vowed that anyone who had committed crimes during recent riots in her city would suffer the consequences of their actions.

“I’m going to make sure they are brought to justice,” Rawlings-Blake said of violent demonstrators who damaged the city last Monday evening.

“I don’t condone it and I will make sure those individuals are held accountable,” she told host Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Furious protests boiled over Monday following the funeral of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man who died while in police custody on April 19.

Rawlings-Blake on Sunday promised she would restore civil order to the city and then repair divides between its law enforcement and minority communities

You can start right here Stephanie. Someone on YouTube put together a montage of all the storefronts being smashed and cars destroyed as the rioters made their way down the streets of Baltimore. All these thugs are going to face justice?

White House Hint: Ben Carson To Announce Possible 2016 Run Tomorrow (VIDEO)

Ben Carson will make an announcement tomorrow on whether he'll run. It sounds like he's in. Carson sent out an email saying, 'On Monday, I will be announcing my decision of whether or not to run for president, so this will be the final email from my Exploratory Committee.' While I wouldn't mind seeing Ben Carson on that debate stage, in the end, I do not think he will end up being the nominee. However, if a Republican wins the WH in 2016, Ben Carson should be first choice for U.S. Surgeon General IMO

Some argue that "Ben Carson is not ready for primetime":
"Most presidential candidates enter the race without fully formed and well-reasoned opinions on foreign policy. That’s true, and there is time for Carson to make up his knowledge deficit. But there are several candidates with a fuller resumes who are simply more experienced at the business of politics than Carson. These able candidates would not clutter the news cycle with avoidable gaffes that compel conservative to come to their defense. Dr. Ben Carson is simply not ready to run for the presidency"

UPDATE: He's in- Ben Carson Officially Announces a run for President in 2016

Mayweather Says He Has 1 More Fight Left Before September Retirement

One more ties Marciano...

bleacherreport
After winning a unanimous decision against Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather Jr. maintained that he only had one more fight left in his career before he retired.

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated shared more:

The most logical choice is likely a rematch with Pacquiao, who didn't fight poorly and thought he deserved to win, per BBC Sport:
BBC's Dan Roan also noted that Mayweather dodged a question after the fight about possibly fighting Amir Khan.

Frankly, it would be surprising if the two didn't fight again given the amount of hype and money that was involved in this match. There was such a demand to order the fight on pay-per-view ahead of time that multiple cable companies had outages and the fight was actually delayed to allow them to address the issue, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Besides, there isn't a fighter in the world who would draw more than Pacquiao would in a rematch. And while Mayweather clearly won this fight, the match was close enough, with several rounds contested, that it wouldn't be hard to drum up a fervor for a rematch. Pacquiao can clearly hang with Mayweather

Alan Dershowitz Reacts To Marilyn Mosby’s Charges Against Balimore Police Officers: "This Is A Very Sad Day For Justice"

“Today had nothing to do with justice; today was crowd-control. Everything was motivated by a threat of riots and a desire to prevent riots....You cannot allow police officers or any other defendants to become scapegoats for crowds who are demanding a continuation of rioting…

American Thinker
Attorney Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax in an interview that it was a "sad day for justice" when the states' attorney indicted 6 Baltimore policemen in the death of Freddie Gray.

Alan Dershowitz really went after Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby today forcharging the six cops involved in the death ofFreddie Gray, saying it was entirely based on politics and “crowd control.”

Dershowitz lamented that “this is a very sad day for justice” and told Steve Malzberg that Mosby acted out of a “desire to prevent riots.” It will be “virtually impossible,” he predicted, for the six officers involved to get a fair trial.

And as for murder charges, Dershowitz said there’s “no plausible, hypothetical, conceivable case for murder” and “this is a show trial.” He predicted that Mosby might get removed as prosecutor and Baltimore citizens may get upset if and/or when they “move to a place with a different demographic.”

He concluded that it’s “unlikely they’ll get any convictions in this case” and if they do they’ll likely “be reversed on appeal.”

Ed Henry To Josh Earnest: VP Biden Talks About 'War With Iran,' How Come It's 'Bellicose Rhetoric' When Republicans Do the Same?

The administration came down hard on a few Republicans who talked about 'war with Iran,' especially John McCain in 2008. Yet VP Joe Biden gave a speech Thursday night in Washington saying "There’s nothing simple, minimal or predictable about a war with Iran, but if required, it will happen. It is a risk that we may yet have to take should Iran rush to a bomb”

Isis Leader Al-Baghdadi Incapacitated With Spinal Injuries After Air Strike

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi wounded in a U.S. airstrike in March

guardian
The leader of the Islamic State (Isis), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi remains incapacitated due to suspected spinal damage and is being treated by two doctors who travel to his hideout from the group’s stronghold of Mosul, the Guardian has learned.

More than two months after being injured in a US air strike in north-western Iraq, the self-proclaimed caliph is yet to resume command of the terror group that has been rampaging through Iraq and Syria since June last year. Three sources close to Isis have confirmed that Baghdadi’s wounds could mean he will never again lead the organisation.

Isis is now being led by a long-term senior official, Abu Alaa al-Afri, who had been appointed deputy leader when his predecessor was killed by an air strike late last year.

Details of Baghdadi’s condition, and of the physicians treating him, have emerged since the Guardian revealed he had been seriously wounded on 18 March in an air strike that killed three men he was travelling with. The attack took place in al-Baaj, 80 miles (128km) west of Mosul.
