Chris Matthews on Dem Candidates Avoiding the President - 'It's Like Obama's Got Ebola'

Matthews wonders why Michelle Nunn, Mark Begich, Alison Grimes won't say they voted for O

newsbusters
During Tuesday night's edition of Hardball on MSNBC, liberal host Chris Matthews vented his exasperation regarding the many Democratic candidates running across the country in this year's election who are distancing themselves from the unpopular current occupant of the White House.

“It's like Obama's got Ebola,” he said, referring to the deadly disease that originated in West Africa and has spread to the United States and other nations around the world. Matthews made the comment while discussing the upcoming election with NBC senior political reporter Perry Bacon and liberal commentator Ron Reagan.

Republican Opens Up a 9 Point Lead Over Martha Coakley in MA

Martha Coakley implodes once again. The latest survey from the Boston Globe has Republican Charlie Baker leading by 9 points, 45-36

The Coakley camp has just came out and dismissed the new poll from TBG as an outlier, saying the race between Coakley and Baker is a 'dead heat'

usatoday
Uh oh, things aren’t looking good for Martha Coakley in the Massachusetts governor’s race.

A new Boston Globe poll shows Republican Charlie Baker with a 9-percentage point lead over the Democratic attorney general among likely voters. The same survey last week had Baker and Coakley tied, and the Republican’s surge is being attributed to rising support from independent voters — the group that propelled Gov. Deval Patrick to victory over Baker in 2010.

From pollster John Della Volpe, whose SocialSphere company conducted the Boston poll:
"There is just positive movement in every single metric we can ask around Baker. The more voters have gotten to know him, the stronger he performs"

Coakley famously lost a U.S. Senate race in 2010 and was defeated by then little-known Republican Scott Brown for the seat long held by Edward Kennedy, the Democratic icon. She had a huge lead, but wasn’t particularly warm on the campaign trail and made a series of missteps. A big faux pas: Coakley suggested Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, a star on the 2004 World Series-winning team, was (horrors!) a Yankees fan.

Video: Judge Andrew Napolitano Predicts Talk of Impeachment if GOP Takes Control of the Senate

Napolitano: "If the Republicans take the Senate, you’ll see the ‘I’ word – impeachment be banded about"..."When the president exercises discretion on enforcing a law in such a way that it’s the opposite of what the law is intended to do, then he has violated his oath to uphold the law and is a candidate for impeachment"

nypost
New York has its first case of Ebola.

A Harlem doctor who recently treated patients in Africa, tested positive for the deadly disease after he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with symptoms, including a 103-degree fever, sources told The Post.

Craig Spencer, a 33-year-old Doctors Without Borders volunteer, began showing symptoms one night after he was out bowling in Brooklyn, police sources said.

Spencer and his live-in girlfriend, Morgan Dixon, 30, were both quarantined at Bellevue at noon Thursday as cops retraced their steps since the doctor returned from Guinea on Oct. 17, the sources said.

Spencer had spent Wednesday night bowling in Williamsburg. He used an Uber car service to get to and from the Brooklyn neighborhood.

Hipster bowling hot spot The Gutter was closed last night due to “unforseen circumstances.” Spencer had spent a month treating Ebola patients in Guinea, according to his Facebook page.

OTTAWA, Ontario -- Canadian police released surveillance video Thursday of the gunman accused of fatally shooting a soldier at a war memorial in Ottawa and said the suspect had recently applied for a passport and was "hoping to leave for Syria."

Royal Canadian Mounted Police commissioner Bob Paulson also says authorities had not been watching the gunman in the weeks before the deadly attack on a soldier at a war memorial on Ottawa on Wednesday.

Rush: PM Harper vs. President Obama on Ottawa Terrorist Attack

Rush: 'Remember when we had leaders like PM Stephen Harper?...The Canadians are not pretending this isn't terrorism'

Obama: "We don't yet have all of the information about whether this was part of a broader network or plan or whether this was an individual or series of individuals who decided to take these action, but it emphasizes the degree to which we have to remain vigilant when it comes to dealing with these kinds of acts of senseless violence or terrorists"

PM Harper:  'This week's events are a grim reminder that Canada is not immune to terrorist attacks around the world. We are also reminded that terrorist attacks on our security personnel and our institutions of governance are by their very nature attacks on our country....Let there be no misunderstanding, we will not be intimidated, we will never be intimidated'

From the first hour of the Rush Limbaugh radio show today:

Rush plays both audios, one from PM Stephen Harper, the other from President Obama on the terrorist attack that happened yesterday in Ottawa. Rush calls Obama's response 'political correctness on parade'

Video- 15-Year-Old ISIS Fighter Describes Atrocities

'They gave me a choice, join ISIS or be beheaded'

15-year-old Kareem Mufleh, left, is led out of his jail cell to speak with CBS correspondent Holly Williams. She visited a prison that is controlled by Kurdish forces

The 15 year old says ISIS would give fighters a drug that causes you to lose your mind, making you willing to strap on a suicide vest.

SYRIA - In the basement of a prison in northern Syria, men accused of being ISIS terrorists were led in one by one. The guards holding them are part of a Kurdish group fighting against the Islamic extremists and don't want to be identified.

15-year-old Kareem Mufleh freely admits that he fought with ISIS

They captured my village and gave me a choice," he said. "Either join ISIS, or be beheaded."

ISIS has embarked on a reign of fear. Mufleh told us he was a witness to massacres when ISIS seized villages in Syria.

"I even saw them kill a woman because her wedding dress showed her neck and bare arms," Mufleh said. He claims that ISIS gave him the anti-anxiety drug Zolam before he went in to battle. "That drug makes you lose your mind," he said. "If they give you a suicide belt and tell you to blow yourself up, you'll do it."
