CBS News Investigative Reporter Sharyl Attkisson Says Her Computers Have Been Compromised

Un-freakin believable.

CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson has been doing a lot of digging. It would appear that somebody might be curious about her sources — either that or they were trying to steal her Angry Birds password:
I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I’m not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I’ve been patient and methodical about this matter,” Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. “I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public.”

Attkisson told WPHT that irregular activity on her computer was first identified in Feb. 2011, when she was reporting on the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal and on the Obama administration’s green energy spending, which she said “the administration was very sensitive about.” Attkisson has also been a persistent investigator of the events surrounding last year’s attack in Benghazi, and its aftermath.

Fort Hood Shooting Suspect Nidal Hasan Paid $278,000 While Awaiting Trial

Injured soldier outraged suspected shooter receives salary while his family financially struggles in recovery

nbcdfw reported
The Department of Defense confirms to NBC 5 Investigates that accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan has now been paid more than $278,000 since the Nov. 5, 2009 shooting that left 13 dead 32 injured. The Army said under the Military Code of Justice, Hasan’s salary cannot be suspended unless he is proven guilty.

If Hasan had been a civilian defense department employee, NBC 5 Investigates has learned, the Army could have suspended his pay after just seven days.

Personnel rules for most civilian government workers allow for "indefinite suspensions" in cases "when the agency has reasonable cause to believe that the employee has committed a crime for which a sentence of imprisonment may be imposed."

Meanwhile, more than three years later soldiers wounded in the mass shooting are fighting to receive the same pay and medical benefits given to those wounded in combat.

IHOP Refuses Military Discount to Widow of Slain Veteran [Video]

Kristen Davis, widow of Spc. Johnathon Davis, killed in Afghanistan last year says this is about honoring the memory of those killed in action

GRIFFIN, Ga. - A local family says that IHOP refused to give them a military discount on their meal.

U.S. Army Spc. Johnathon Davis, a 20-year-old from Griffin, was killed in Afghanistan in March of 2012.

His widow, Kristen Davis, says she's used veteran discounts at various businesses after her husband was killed in action. She said that last Friday at an IHOP in Griffin, she went to pay for a meal after celebrating her son's first birthday there. She said that she showed her ID card as the wife of a soldier, but the manager refused to give her the discount.

Kristen says the same IHOP manager honored her dad's veterans discount when her mother paid. He'd already left.

Karrie Young, the IHOP manager involved, told FOX 5's George Franco that she's sorry for the incident. "I would just like to apologize and say I that didn't want anyone to get hurt or to offend anyone," said Young.

A spokesperson for the IHOP Corporation from California said that veteran discounts are up to the individual franchisee. Both corporate and franchise representatives said they value the service and sacrifices of military personal.

"Of course she is going to apologize when the news comes to ask her about it. I'd apologize too if I was her," Davis said.
