Republican Strategist Belts Libs on CNN Crossfire: I Don't Know What You Guys Are Smoking, This Economy is Not Good
Nice. On tonight's Crossfire panel, it was former Dem Gov. Jennifer Granholm, David Madland from the Center for American Progress vs. Nancy Pfotenhauer who is a Republican strategist. Many will remember her from the 2008 McCain campaign, she was senior policy advisor and campaign spokesman.
They begin discussing today's job numbers and the 203K new jobs created in November. Pfotenhouer fires back at everybody, pointing out that you need to have 150K jobs created every month just to keep up with the population increase. But the most important factor is the labor force participation rate. People are simply giving up on looking for work.

Dallas Morning News reported:
Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, will travel with the Obamas to South Africa next week to participate in memorial events for that country’s iconic leader Nelson Mandela.
Mandela, South Africa’s first president after apartheid, died Thursday at age 95.
A Bush spokesman said that the Bushes have accepted an invitation to accompany President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, on Air Force One. The news came after the White House announced that the Obamas would go to South Africa to pay their respects.
It’s unclear if the U.S. presidential delegation will attend Mandela’s state funeral on Dec. 15 or a memorial service on Dec. 10, as White House officials haven’t yet released a more detailed travel itinerary.
Bush, who earlier this year traveled to Africa with his wife, said Thursday that Mandela was “one of the great forces for freedom and equality in our time.”...“He bore his burdens with dignity and grace, and our world is better off because of his example,” Bush said in the statement. “This good man will be missed, but his contributions will live on forever.”

Ed Henry: Poll Out Says Young People are Disillusioned With Obamacare, How Concerned is the Prez? Jay Carney: "There Are Good Polls and Bad Polls"
Ed Henry is probably talking about this poll released by Harvard University saying only 22% of young Americans are 'likely' to enroll in Obamacare. Jay Carney can pretend all he wants that this poll is no biggie but without the young Americans, also called the young healthies signing up, Obamacare will collapse and the administration knows it. Good question today by Fox News Ed Henry
So the unemployment rate falls to 7% and the headlines are we may have 'turned the corner' on the economy. 7% unemployment would be considered a great depression under George W. Bush.
What won't make the Nightly News is- government hired 338K additional workers in November, almost half of the job gains here.
About that 7%. During the 8 years of the Bush (43) Adm. (2001-2009), the unemployment rate was below 6% for 83 or Bush's 96 months in office and that was called a failed economy.
In November 1992, 7.4% unemployment under George H.W. Bush (41) was called 'the worst economy in the last 50 years' and Bush was fired for it by the voters.
