VIDEO--> Republican Congressman to Protester: 'Touch Me Again And I'll Drop Your Ass'

Photo: Rep. Steven Knight vs. protester who says he disagrees with the congressman over his support for amnesty

A freshman congressman on Friday colorfully warned a protester not to touch him during a terse exchange about immigration.

Rep. Steve Knight mixed it up with a protester he called "Mike," who accused him of voting for amnesty at an open house event for his Simi Valley, Calif. office. SantaClarita.com posted video of their exchange.

"You told me you didn't vote for amnesty and you did. I looked it up on the Internet," the man said as he firmly shook Knight's hand. "You lied to me," he added while slapping the congressman's shoulder.

Knight then approached the man and grabbed his forearm.

"Okay Mike, hey. If you touch me again, I'll drop your ass," Knight said. "Don't touch me."

Rev. Cruz: Obama Adm 'Has Cursed The Nation of Israel More Than Any Other Administration in History'

Cruz: God said I will bless them that bless you (Israel) and curse them that curse you
This administration has cursed Israel

Referencing the book of Genesis (12:3) where God tells Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation, that He will bless those who bless him, and curse those who curse him, Pastor Rafael Cruz said the Obama administration has "cursed the Jewish people" and the nation of Israel "more than any other administration in history."

"It was so shameful how this president has treated [Israeli] Prime Minister Netanyahu," said Pastor Cruz, speaking to Congregation Beth Aliyah in Rome, Ga., at a Tea Party event on Apr. 13. "A few months ago, my son was invited to speak in Washington, D.C. by an organization calling themselves ‘Middle Eastern Christians.’"

"This current administration has cursed the Jewish people, has cursed the nation of Israel more than any other administration in history," said Pastor Cruz. "I believe the only reason judgment has not fallen on America is because of the faithful remnant that is standing in the gap.

Ousted Egyptian President Morsi Sentenced To 20 Years in Prison

An Egyptian criminal court on Tuesday sentenced ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi to 20 years in prison on charges linked to the killing of protesters in 2012.

The conviction, which can be appealed, and muted Islamist reaction following it underscore the dramatic downfall of Morsi, 63, and Egypt's once-powerful Muslim Brotherhood group. However, Morsi escaped receiving a death sentence in the case, which Islamists derided as a "farce."

Tuesday’s ruling was the first verdict to be issued against the country's first freely elected leader.

Morsi and the Brotherhood swiftly rose to power in elections after autocrat Hosni Mubarak's 2011 ouster, only to find themselves imprisoned a year later when millions protested against them for abusing power and the military overthrew the government.

Some language--

From the video:
Strapped with an assault rifle, a Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy stormed up to a woman recording from a residential sidewalk, snatching the camera from her hands and sending it smashing to the pavement before kicking it towards her in a shocking display of rage.

The deputy then walked off with a group of other deputies who appeared to be part of the SWAT team.

The story is new, but it appears this was an operation of at least two agencies to include the LA sheriff and US

Martin O'Malley: Republican Economic Theory is "Bulls**t

I don't think the GOP is too worried about this guy...

Possible presidential contender Martin O’Malley (D) on Monday mocked Republican arguments that federal regulations keep poor and middle-class people from moving up the economic ladder.

“It is not true that regulation holds poor people down, or regulation keeps middle class from advancing,” O’Malley, the former governor of Maryland, said Monday in an interview with NPR’s Steve Inskeep. “That's kind of patently bullshit-.”

“That’s quite a last word, by the way, on that subject. … I’m just going to leave it right there,” Inskeep responded.

O'Malley said working-class people are hurt by a tax code that is riddled with special interest loopholes. He said “the concentrated wealth and accumulated power and the systematic deregulation of Wall Street” is responsible for an economy that “isn't working for most of us.”

O’Malley is considering challenging Hillary Clinton (D) for the Democratic presidential nomination. In recent weeks, he’s become increasingly aggressive in attacking the former secretary of State.

Israeli PM Netanyahu, President Rivlin Refuse to Meet With Jimmy Carter

Reason: Carter is anti-Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin have turned down invitations to meet with former US president Jimmy Carter during his upcoming visit to Israel over his “anti-Israel” views.

Both the president and prime minister declined the invitations after consulting with the Foreign Ministry and the National Security Council.

A senior diplomatic official told Channel 10, which broke the news, that Carter is “a disaster for Israel,” and that all Israeli leaders should refrain from meeting the former president, due to his “anti-Israel positions.”

The official was also quoted as saying that while Netanyahu and Rivlin refused to meet with him, Israel had approved Carter’s request to visit the Gaza Strip.

McCain Blasts Chairman of Joint Chiefs Dempsey For Downplaying the Fall of Ramadi: "What the Hell is He Talking About?"

John McCain is angry. He should be. During this interview on tonight's Greta, senator McCain reminds Chairman Dempsey that the U.S. lost 187 soldiers in the fight for Ramadi in 2006-2007.

Ramadi is now on the verge of falling to the Islamic State terrorists. Dempsey, who is chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, downplayed the possible capture of Ramadi. Dempsey said last week that the city is "not central to the future of Iraq" and is "not symbolic in any way" to the success of the campaign to defeat Islamic terrorists.

McCain said he disagrees.

"This unbelievable statement is an insult to all those brave Americans who served and sacrificed in Ramadi, and the families and loved ones who miss them so dearly," he said Monday.

Reuters: Jeb Bush to Visit Germany, Estonia, Poland in June

Source: Jeb to officially announce his 2016 Presidential run after he returns from the trip

Republican Jeb Bush will visit three U.S. allies, Germany, Poland and Estonia, in early June to get a first-hand view of European economic and security challenges as he explores a run for his party's U.S. presidential nomination in 2016, a Bush aide said on Monday.

Foreign policy has been growing in importance in the battle to determine President Barack Obama's successor, with Republicans questioning Obama's handling of the threat from Islamic State and Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Bush’s visit gives him a chance to lay out his differences with Obama, a Democrat, particularly when it comes to NATO, with alliance members Poland and Estonia both watching events in Ukraine with alarm. Obama is legally barred from seeking a third term in the November 2016 election.
A Bush aide said the 62-year-old Bush, the brother of former President George W. Bush, has yet to decide whether to run. Other sources close to Bush's camp have said his team has discussed the possibility of an announcement in June, after the trip. -Reuters
