McCain is angry the Ted Cruz and wants him to apologize. Yesterday at CPAC, Cruz took a shot at him, Mitt Romney and Bob Dole saying they lost in the run for Prez because they didn't stand on principle. McCain tells Andrea Mitchell that Cruz can say whatever he wants about him or Romney but it's over the line to go after Dole. 'Bob Dole is a man of integrity and principle and I hope Ted Cruz apologizes to Bob Dole, who is in the twilight of his life' McCain says. To be fair, Cruz at CPAC was talking about the three men's politics when he said 'they didn't stand for principle' and not their character and integrity as a person.
Now, I'm probably one of the biggest critics of McCain in the blogosphere. Before I join in with everybody else on my side and say - shut up you RINO. I have to ask, does McCain have a point? Dole is 90 years old and in bad shape. Should maybe Ted Cruz have just left out Bob Dole's name and just say, 'the race in 1996?'
Here is the interview today with McCain. He says he spoke to Ted Cruz on the senate floor about what he said at CPAC. A clip of Ted Cruz' speech swiping 'President' McCain, 'President' Romney and 'President' Dole is played at the beginning.
