Afghan Taliban Kill 4 US troops in Attack Just Hours After Peace Talks Announced

And the U.S. is going to sit down and have 'peace talks'  in Qatar with the Taliban? You don't negotiate with the enemy, you defeat them.

Militants fire rockets into Bargram Air Base killing 4 troops
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The Taliban have claimed responsibility for an attack in Afghanistan that killed four U.S. troops just hours after the insurgent group announced it would hold talks with the Americans on finding a political solution to ending the nearly 12-year war.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said on Wednesday that the militants fired two rockets into the Bagram Air Base late on Tuesday.

Thousands of demonstrators flooded into a square in Brazil’s economic hub, Sao Paulo, for the latest in a historic wave of protests against the shoddy state of public services.

American officials confirmed the base had come under attack by indirect fire — likely a mortar or rocket — and that four U.S. troops were killed.

The attack underscores the challenges ahead after the Taliban and the U.S. announced they would hold talks in Qatar to try and negotiate a solution to the violence. President Barack Obama has cautioned this would be neither quick nor easy.

Krauthammer: I Welcome a Hillary Run, 'She is Eminently Defeatable' in 2016 [Video]

Charles: Can someone name one achievement she had in the last 4 years as SOS?

Krauthammer is exactly right. Hillary was 'inevitable' in 2008, it didn't happen. In the 2008 Dem Primary, inevitable Hillary lost Iowa, Nevada and SC to Obama before they even got to Super Tuesday. She ended up winning 20 and losing 30 states to O and the nomination. She led in the polling (Dem Primary) from late 2006 to January 2008. It meant nothing in the end.

KRAUTHAMMER: I think if she wants the nomination, it will be handed to her. Obviously, the party is swooning in believing that she is inevitable. Well, you know, she was inevitable in 2008 as well, it didn't exactly work out. She has a reputation of somebody who has a sterling career. I thought as a senator she was rather good. But people speak about her as a superb Secretary of State.

You remember that little tête-à-tête that she had with Obama on television? And her retirement here as one of the great Secretaries of State? Can somebody name one achievement she had in the four years? Just one, I'm not asking for three. I'm not asking for Henry Kissinger or George Schultz, James Baker, you know, a great treaty. No, just give me one thing. So, I'm not sure I understand any of this. But if she runs, I think as a conservative, I'd welcome that. I think she is eminently defeatable.

VIDEO- Rand Paul: Obama's Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper 'Directly Lied to Congress' When He Said They Weren't Collecting Any Data On American Citizens

"They are collecting billions of data on phone calls everyday, so it was a lie!" -Rand Paul on CNN Situation Room with Jim Acosta
Watch

President Barack Obama's director of national intelligence was flat-out lying when he told lawmakers in March the government wasn't collecting data on millions of Americans, Sen. Rand Paul asserted Tuesday. He said Clapper broke the law. He lied to congress
The Kentucky Republican suggested intelligence chief James Clapper had lost all credibility in the wake of intelligence leaks showing information on phone calls and internet usage being collected by the National Security Agency,

"He said they were not collecting any data on American citizens, and it turns out they're collecting millions of data on phone calls every day," Paul continued. "So it was a lie. What I'm saying is that by lying to Congress, which is against the law, he severely damaged the credibility of the entire intelligence community."

Ed Rendell: 'Princeton and Harvard Should be Disgraced' That 'Wacko' Ted Cruz Attended

Princeton and Harvard should be ashamed of having awarded diplomas to Senator Ted Cruz, according to former Democratic Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell. “Princeton and Harvard should be disgraced,” he said.

“For Democrats, he’s the gift that keeps on giving,” the MSNBC contributor continued. “Every time the Republicans take out some moderate position, here comes Ted Cruz galloping along, and saying ‘No, we have to take the wacko side’”

It's obvious that Ted Cruz has  been very effective or Fast Eddie and the libs at MSDNC wouldn't spend so much time on him. Watch.

California Prosecutors: Man Threw Ex Off Cruise Ship in Italy

Strangled her, threw her over, reported her missing...Later drained the money from her bank account.

'Charged with one count of murder.

NBC News
A man was arraigned on indictment for murder on Monday by a California grand jury for throwing his ex-wife over the side of a cruise ship, according to the Orange County District Attorney.

The indictment against Lonnie Loren Kocontes, 55, includes one felony count of murder for financial gain.

Prosecutors said that that Kocontes and his ex-wife, Micki Kanesaki, divorced in 2001 but lived together on and off for the next several years. They were also comfortable with traveling together and in 2006 went on a cruise that left from Spain.

That's when Kocontes is accused of strangling Kanesaki, throwing her body over the side of the ship into Italian waters — and then reporting her missing.

He later moved over $1 million from their joint bank accounts and the proceeds from the sale of their shared home into his own accounts and his new wife’s accounts, according to the DA.

According to the press release, the money transfer drew suspicions from the FBI and the Orange County Sheriff’s department later found additional evidence against Kocontes. He was arrested in February of this year.

Although a judge already ruled on May 29 that the state of California has the right to try the case since Kanesaki was a California resident, Kocontes will fight to have the case thrown out during a June 26 hearing, claiming that local authorities do not have jurisdiction to prosecute him, The Associated Press reported.
