Mark Cuban: Republicans Need to Drop the Social Issues if They Want to Win

Guaranteed way to keep the base home....

Billionaire investor Mark Cuban has some advice for the Republican Party: Drop the social issues.

"If I was going to give guidance to the Republican Party ... I'd say, 'Stay completely out of social issues,'" Cuban said Tuesday morning on CNBC's "Squawk Box."

The "Shark Tank" star and Dallas Mavericks owner said this would allow the GOP to communicate a strong message on the economy.

"If you stay out of social issues, then the conversation from that side will only be about economics, and business, and growing business, and ideas," he said. "It should be easy!"

Cuban also said he would have expected today's policymakers to agree with him, given that many of them grew up in the 1960s and 1970s.

Ohio Woman Who Made Up Ebola Hoax Could Face Charges (Video)

Columbus woman wanted quicker medical treatment from first responders so she told the 911 operator that her family member had Ebola and was running a 107 degree fever. It was all a hoax and now she could face charges.

Fox local has the video and the 911 call-

Fox 28
Prosecutors said an East Columbus woman could face charges after firefighters said she called 911 claiming her sister had Ebola.

The woman told a dispatcher her sister had a fever of 107. Three times she said her sister recently traveled to West Africa.

Haz mat crews were dispatched to the home on South Champion Avenue on the east side to treat the woman.

Firefighters said the sick woman has never left the country and the caller later admitted to making up the Ebola hoax so she could get quicker treatment.

“Don’t do it,” said Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien. “One method you send that message is, those people that choose to (lie about Ebola), the very first ones that try it are going to end up in jail.”

Columbus Police said they are considering filing charges against the caller. O’Brien said disorderly conduct or inducing panic charges could be filed against anyone lying about Ebola.

“It’s a serious problem,” he said. “It shouldn’t be complicated by false claims that it exists.”

BEIRUT (AP) — Islamic State group fighters seized at least one cache of weapons airdropped by U.S.-led coalition forces that were meant to supply Kurdish militiamen battling the extremist group in a border town, activists said Tuesday.

The cache of weapons included hand grenades, ammunition and rocket-propelled grenade launchers, according to a video uploaded by a media group loyal to the Islamic State. The video appeared authentic and corresponded to The Associated Press' reporting of the event. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the militants had seized at least once cache, but may have seized more.

The Observatory, which bases its information on a network of activists on the ground, said the caches were airdropped early Monday to Kurds in the embattled Syrian town of Kobani that lies near the Turkish border

"Mr. President, Don't Touch My Girlfriend”

O in Chicago

thehill reported
While casting his ballot in Chicago on Monday, President Obama was given an unusual voting instruction.

“Mr. President, don't touch my girlfriend,” a Chicago man, later identified by CNN as Mike Jones, quipped as he walked by the pair casting their ballots.

“I really wasn't planning on it,” Obama shot back with a smile. Jones’ finance, Aia Cooper, flushed with embarrassment and apologized for her boyfriend.

“I am sorry, please excuse him… I can't believe Mike, he is such a fool,” she said. Obama joked Jones was “an example of a brother just embarrassing you for no reason whatsoever” but said the pair would at least have a story for their friends and family.

Obama said to Cooper: “Fortunately, the president was nice about it, so it's alright.” “I am freaking out right now,” Cooper said while doubling over with laughter.

In a subsequent interview with WLS-TV, Cooper said the president got back at Jones by planting a hug and a kiss on Cooper. “On the cheek, just the cheek — please, Michelle, don't come after me — just the cheek!” Cooper said. The president’s appearance at the Chicago voting polling station was part of a White House bid to drive early voting.

Obama: 2014 Dems ‘Are All Folks Who Vote With Me,’ ‘Have Supported My Agenda’

Obama- Those Dems who are avoiding me are really supporters of mine.

Fox Nation
President Obama dealt another blow to red state Democrats on Al Sharpton’s radio show Monday, insisting that despite their political posturing, they “are all folks who vote with me” and “have supported my agenda.”

Obama reiterated his devastating statement from October 2, when he told a crowd at Northwestern University: “I’m not on the ballot this fall…but make no mistake, these policies are on the ballot, every single one of them.”

“A lot of the states that are contested this time are states that I didn’t win,” Obama said. “And so some of the candidates there — it is difficult for them to have me in the state because the Republicans will use that to try to fan Republican turnout.”
