Video- Obama Heckled During Immigration Speech in Las Vegas

Reports are that this 'heckler' was shouting at Obama over his executive order not going far enough.  Amazing, every single time O gets disrupted during these speeches on immigration, it's some activist or dreamer pushing the president for more of his own agenda. I call BS. Dude has probably got an Organizing For America shirt on.

A day after he announced executive actions that will defer the deportation of around 5 million undocumented immigrants, President Obama was still getting heckled by immigration reform advocates looking for more action.

Speaking at Del Sol High School in Las Vegas, Nevada -- where he laid out his principles for comprehensive immigration reform nearly two years ago -- Mr. Obama detailed the elements of his current plan.

About halfway through the president's remarks, activists Jose PatiƱo and Angel Fernandez, "dreamers" from Arizona whose parents brought them into the country when they were children, asked Mr. Obama why their were parents left behind: "Why did you leave my mom behind?" they shouted.

Mr. Obama responded, "Not everybody will qualify, and that's the truth. That's why we're going to have to pass a bill."

The hecklers continued, prompting an exasperated-looking president to say, "I heard you and what I'm saying is, we're still going to have to pass a bill. This is the first step, it's not the only step." (CBS News)

House Oversight Committee Calls Gruber to Testify About Obamacare

Hearing on the ACA will be on December 9th

usatoday
WASHINGTON -- The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has asked Jonathan Gruber, the economist and Obama administration adviser who admitted that "lack of transparency" helped pass the health law known as Obamacare, to testify about those statements.

Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., announced a Dec. 9 hearing on the Affordable Care Act, with Gruber and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner as star witnesses.

They won't get friendly questioning.

"From the outset, the health law has been the poster child for this Administration's broken transparency promises," Issa said in a statement. "I expect Mr. Gruber and Administrator Tavenner to testify publicly next month about the arrogance and deceptions surrounding the passage and implementation of Obamacare."

Incoming House Oversight and Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz was asked about Jonathan Gruber being called to testify last night on Fox News Greta

"You can't have somebody that outrageous making those types of statements and expect congress to just ignore it"

Libs in Berkeley Vote To Put 'Global Warming Alert' Labels on Gas Pumps

Insane. The Berkeley City Council voted to draft a proposal that will put stickers on gas pumps citywide to warn consumers that burning fuel contributes to global warming.

nbcbayarea
In a first move toward getting tougher on global warming, the Berkeley City Council on Tuesday night voted to draft language to mandate the city's gas stations label their gas pumps with "Global Warming Alert" stickers, warning customers that filling up emits dangerous carbon dioxide.

The vote passed 7-2, with councilmembers Susan Wengraf and Gordon Wozniak voting no.

The city manager will now direct staff to direct write an ordinance over the next three months to detail the plan, which may be put into place by next spring.

San Francisco is drafting a similar ordinance that the city's Board of Supervisors could vote into law by March. The proposals in both Bay Area cities are thought to be the first of their kind in the U.S.

Berkeley and San Francisco are well aware that they will likely be sued by the Western States Petroleum Association. The oil-industry lobbying group has already told the cities that the fuel station carbon dioxide labels "violate the First Amendment’s prohibition against compelled speech

VIDEO- Boehner: Obama is Damaging the Presidency Itself

'We will not stand idle as the president undermines the rule of law'

Washington- The immigration showdown between Congress and the White House is fully underway.

In a press conference Friday morning, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) slammed President Barack Obama yet again and vowed that his chamber will move to thwart Obama's new executive actions on immigration reform.

"He's refused to listen to the American people. The president has taken actions that he himself has said are those of a king or an emperor — not an American president," Boehner said. "He's damaging the presidency itself."

Sheriff Arpaio Sues Obama Over Immigration Order

reuters
An Arizona police chief who calls himself "America's Toughest Sheriff" sued Barack Obama on Thursday soon after the U.S. president imposed sweeping immigration reforms, saying the changes were unconstitutional.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose force used racial profiling during a crackdown on illegal migrants last year according to a judge, said Obama has overstepped his powers by bypassing Congress and bringing in the changes himself.

Arpaio's lawsuit said the reforms, which eased the threat of deportation for about 4.7 million undocumented immigrants, amounted to an amnesty and would encourage more people to cross the border illegally.

It is not true when President Obama says he's gonna deport those who are criminals Arpaio says. He 'talks a good game,' but he's trying to deceive the American people

Illegal Immigrant Tells CNN She Was Inspired To Cross Border by Obama Amnesty

CNN Correspondent talks to illegals at a bus station near the U.S.-Mexico border-
Yeah, amnesty inspired us...

According to Obama the border is super-secure. According to reality it’s as open as his mouth. And implementing amnesty is leading to more illegal aliens.

An illegal immigrant woman at a border bus stop in Mission, Texas told CNN that she was inspired to cross into the United States now because of the impending amnesty being offered by President Obama.

“Did the possibility of immigration reform inspire you to come now?” CNN’s Alina Machado asked the Central American migrant waiting for a bus ticket on Thursday.

“Yes, that’s right,” the woman said. “That inspired us.”

“Now?” the reporter pressed.

“Yes, now,” the woman replied.

Jonathan Gruber Loses Job as Vermont Obamacare Adviser

Gruber's comments about Obamacare "are offensive and inappropriate"

newsmax
Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber has lost his job advising Vermont on setting up its state-run healthcare system, Fox News reports.

The MIT economist has been under fire since videos emerged of him early last week acknowledging that the Affordable Care Act was passed because it was written with language to obfuscate the fact that people were being taxed.

That, along with Gruber's saying the crafters relied on "the stupidity of the American voter," has caused a backlash. Five Republican members of the Vermont General Assembly called on Democratic Gov. Peter Shumlin to cancel Gruber's contract.

On Wednesday, Shumlin's spokesman Lawrence Miller said in a prepared statement that Gruber's comments "are offensive, inappropriate and do not reflect the thinking of this administration or how we do things in Vermont . . . As we have also said, we need solid economic modeling in order to move forward with healthcare reform."

Miller said he told Gruber "that I expect his team to complete the work that we need to provide the legislature and Vermonters with a public healthcare financing plan. I've informed Mr. Gruber that we will not be paying him any further for his part in completing that work."

Martha MacCallum to Josh Earnest: Why Didn't President Obama Take Up Amnesty When He Had both Houses of Congress?

Well, at the time we were dealing with the 'worst economic downturn since the Great Depression' don't you know.

Fox News' Martha MacCallum challenged White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest this morning on how and why President Obama has reversed course on using executive actions on immigration reform.

Obama has stated numerous times in recent years that he does not have the authority to act without Congress to reform the immigration system the way he would like.

For instance, in May 2011 he said, "Sometimes when I talk to immigration advocates, they wish I could just bypass Congress and change the law myself. But that's now how democracy works."

"You've heard all those statements. The question is, what has changed? What has changed the president's mind on this issue so completely," MacCallum asked.
