Rush: The Obama Adm Tried to Play the 'Children Card' on Immigration and It Backfired

"The regime thought that making children the face of illegal immigration would lower resistance to illegal immigration. They were playing the children card again, a great miscalculation. They thought, if the only noticed immigrants coming across were poor children without their parents that the American people would open their arms and accept them and the exact opposite has happened"

Rush: A great miscalculation by the Obama regime.

France Offers Asylum to Iraqi Christians While Obama Turns His Back on Them

Not a word from the Obama WH about the persecution of Iraqi Christians

redstate reported:
Providing us with yet more evidence that leadership in addressing humanitarian crises across has passed to Western European powers, France has offered asylum to Iraqi Christians fleeing persecution from the Islamic State (formerly ISIL).

Radio Free Europe reports:
"France says it is ready to welcome Christians from northern Iraq who have been told by Islamic extremists ruling the region to either convert to Islam, pay a religious tax, or face death.

France’s foreign and interior ministers said in a joint statement in Paris on July 28 that “we are ready, if they wish, to facilitate their asylum on our soil.”

That this report has surfaced in a media outlet officially sponsored by the United States government is ironic. Our country under the Obama administration has developed a tendency to turn our backs on the plight of Christians in the Middle East. As Breitbart reported, Iraqi Christians in the United States rallied at the White House this past Saturday chanting, “Obama, Obama, where are you? Iraqi Christians call for you!” The call appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

As RedState’s streiff has noted, Obama is still pushing ahead with his request to repeal the AUMF for the Iraq War while giving us nothing to replace it

Jesse Ventura: No Regrets Over Suing Widow of Navy SEAL

CBS This Morning co-anchor Gayle King: "Does it bother you that you might have won the case but are certainly getting hammered in the court of public opinion?

CBS News
Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura said Wednesday his successful lawsuit against the estate of late Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle was about "the truth" and that he has no plans to reach out to Kyle's widow, who is the executor of the Kyle's estate, now that the trial is over.

Jesse Ventura awarded $1.8 million in defamation suit against former sniper

"All I wanted to do was clear my name, and it has nothing to do with a widow or anything like that," Ventura said on "CBS This Morning" during his first post-trial interview.

The dispute revolves around the description of an alleged incident in Kyle's book, "American Sniper," in which the former SEAL claimed he punched Ventura in 2006 after the former governor said the SEALs "deserved to lose a few" in Iraq.

"I would have been a big-time loser had I not pursued the lawsuit, because ... the whole story was fabricated," Ventura said. "I was accused of treason, which in the military is the death penalty."

Ukraine Official Says Rebels Are Laying Mines Near the MH17 Crash Site

Putin's paid thugs...

Ukranian Official: "This makes the work of the international experts impossible"

DONETSK, Ukraine (AP) — International observers turned back Wednesday after making another attempt to reach the site where Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 went down in eastern Ukraine, and a government official said the area near the zone had been mined by pro-Russian separatists who control it.

Observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe set out Wednesday in two vehicles — without frustrated crash investigators from the Netherlands who have been trying to reach the site for four days.

But the OSCE observers turned back to the city of Donetsk after discussions with rebels.

Safety concerns and hindrance from the separatists who control the area have kept the investigation team away. Foreign governments whose citizens died have complained the site is not secured and some human remains have not been recovered.

Government security spokesman Andriy Lysenko added to those concerns Wednesday by saying separatists "have mined the approaches to this area. This makes the work of the international experts impossible."

WaPo Editor: Secretary Kerry Not Only Undercut Israel, But Key Allies of the United States (Video)

Washington Post Editor David Ignatius says Israel is 'furious' with Secretary of State John Kerry. He also told CNN's Brooke Baldwin that he's been talking to key diplomats around the world and he is hearing 'real unhappiness' in how Kerry has handled the Israeli-Gaza conflict. Ignatius wrote today in his column that John Kerry made significant mistakes in how he’s pursued a Gaza cease-fire. One was reaching out to Hamas allies Turkey and Qatar. Ignatius says working with those 2 countries directly undercut Israel and other key allies of the U.S. including Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the UAE.

Ignatius on CNN tonight: 'Kerry's Big Blunder"

Americans Blame Hamas, Not Israel For Violence By 2-to-1 Margin -Pew Poll

40% of voters polled blamed Hamas for the current violence, 19% blame Israel, 14% say both and 28% are clueless

Only 1-in-4 25% say Israel has gone to far, 35% say Israel's response has been about right

As fighting continues to rage in Gaza amid calls for a cease-fire, about twice as many Americans say Hamas (40%) as Israel (19%) is responsible for the current violence.

Just a quarter (25%) believe that Israel has gone too far in responding to the conflict; far more think Israel’s response has been about right (35%) or that it has not gone far enough (15%).Republicans Say Hamas Is Responsible for Violence; Democrats Are Divided

The new national survey by the Pew Research Center, conducted July 24-27 among 1,005 adults, finds substantial partisan divisions over which side is most responsible for the violence and Israel’s response to the conflict.

A majority of Republicans (60%) say Hamas is most responsible for the current violence. Democrats are divided: 29% say Hamas is more responsible, 26% Israel, while 18% volunteer that both sides are responsible

Poll: Republican Greg Abbott Crushing Democrat Wendy Davis in Texas Gov's Race 54%-37%

A 17 Point lead for Greg Abbott in a new NYTimes Poll. He is pulling away. The first week of June, a Texas Tribune poll had him leading Wendy Davis by 12. This one doesn't look good for abortion Barbie.

With just under 100 days to go until the gubernatorial election, an overwhelming majority of voters have made up their minds and favor Republican Attorney General Greg Abbott over Democratic state Sen. Wendy Davis by double digits, according to a poll released this weekend.

The survey, done by polling firm YouGov in collaboration with CBS and The New York Times, shows 34 percent supporting Davis and 3 percent leaning toward voting for her, while the same numbers split 50-4 for Abbott. Perhaps the worst news from the poll for the Davis campaign is that only 2 percent aren’t sure for whom they’re going to vote, leaving a very small slice of a red-state electorate to vie for over the next three months.

Looking at the internals of this poll, Abbott now has a 2 point lead among women voters, and a whopping 28 point lead among men

Boehner: "We Have No Plans" To Impeach The President, This is a 'Scam By Democrats' To Raise Funds and Rally Their Base

Talk of impeachment is coming from the White House -Speaker Boehner

House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) on Tuesday rejected talk of impeaching President Obama, saying that the issue was being driven by White House staff and congressional Democrats who are trying to gin up liberal voters for the fall midterm elections.

"This whole talk about impeachment is coming from the president's own staff and coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill. Why? Because they are trying to rally their people to give money and to show up in this year's election," Boehner told reporters Tuesday morning. "We have no plans to impeach the president. We have no future plans."

Boehner noted that the Democratic campaign arms have raised millions and millions of dollars through e-mail and direct mail pitches in recent weeks that raised the specter of a GOP-controlled Congress impeaching the president in 2015.
"It's all a scam started by the Democrats at the White House" Boehner said.

Flashback Video- If It Were Up to Obama, There Would Be No Iron Dome

Thousands of rockets fired into Israel. Hundred of lives saved by Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system

In 2007, this genius called missile defense systems 'unproven' and put it under the category of 'wasteful spending.' He promised to slow their development

Obama cut this web ad for the Iowa Caucus4Priorities in 2007

'I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning. And as president I will end it.

Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending. I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems.  And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending'
