DOJ Preparing Criminal Charges Against Democrat Senator Bob Menendez

This comes just 3 days after Menendez blasted the Obama administration’s Iran policy while delivering a speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) national conference.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department is preparing criminal corruption charges against New Jersey Democratic Senator Robert Menendez, CNN reported on Friday.

Citing people briefed on the matter, CNN said the charges center on allegations that the senator used his office to promote the business interests of a Democratic donor and friend in exchange for gifts.

CNN said Attorney General Eric Holder has given the green light for prosecutors to proceed with charges and an announcement could arrive in coming weeks.

A representative for Menendez could not immediately be reached for comment.

Justice Department officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Menendez is the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Federal authorities have probed Menendez's relationship with Florida ophthalmologist Salomon Melgen, a Democratic donor who has been accused of overbilling the Medicare program

VIDEO: 6-Year-Old Suspended After Pointing At Classmate in Shape of Gun

A Colorado Springs first-grader was suspended from school after pointing his fingers at a classmate in the shape of a gun.

Six-year-old Elijah goes to Stratton Meadows Elementary School. On Monday, he pointed at a classmate in the shape of a gun and said, "You're dead."

According to his behavior report, an administrator spoke with him about what being dead means and about not confusing "make-believe" or things in games with reality. And he received a one-day suspension for threats against peers.

"I know they have zero tolerance, but more of a maybe no recess," his dad, Austin Thurston said. "Going as far as a one-day suspension is a little extreme for a six-year-old in a first-grade class."

A spokesperson for Harrison School District 2, which Stratton Meadows is a part of, couldn't give specifics about the case, because it's part of the student's personal record. But she said school administrators feel they issued the appropriate disciplinary action.

Scott Walker Catches Jeb Bush in Florida in 2016 Poll

Florida 2016: Jeb Bush 23%, Scott Walker 22%

Marco Rubio pulls in 11% in his home state of Florida according to this poll from Gravis Marketing.

Again the question: What's Rubio's path to victory? If he's in 5th place in Iowa, 7th place in NH and way back in his home state of Florida, how does he get there? The answer is, he doesn't and everybody knows it. And he sure as heck shouldn't give up his U.S. Senate seat for a failed run for the presidency. He CANNOT run for both, you can't be on the ballot for 2 different offices according to Florida State law.

A new poll shows Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is running in a dead heat with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in the Sunshine State as the 2016 presidential race looms.

Gravis Marketing released its poll of Florida Republicans this week, which finds Bush ahead with 23 percent but Walker right on his heels with 22 percent. U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., places third with 11 percent followed by former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., with 10 percent. Huckabee moved to Florida after his 2008 presidential bid.

Dr. Ben Carson, who also moved to Florida recently, placed fifth with 8 percent. Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., takes 6 percent followed by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. Two Texas Republicans lag behind: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz takes 2 percent while former Gov. Rick Perry pulls 1 percent. An eighth of those surveyed -- 12 percent -- remain undecided.

Doug Kaplan, the managing partner of Gravis Insights, said he expected the contest to come down to Bush and Walker.

North Korea Praises Knife Attack on U.S. Ambassador

North Korea: These were 'knife slashes of justice'

Fox News
The U.S. ambassador to South Korea was slashed by a man screaming demands for Korean unification Thursday morning in Seoul, and was hospitalized with wounds to his face and wrist in an attack that North Korea called "a deserved punishment on war maniac U.S."

About nine hours after the attack, Mark W. Lippert posted on his Twitter account that he was "doing well and in great spirits" and would be back "ASAP" to advance the U.S.-South Korean alliance

North Korea's state-controlled media later crowed that "knife slashes of justice" were "a deserved punishment on war maniac U.S." and reflected the South Korean people's protests against the U.S. for driving the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war because of the joint military drills.

YTN TV reported that the suspect — identified by police as 55-year-old Kim Ki-jong — screamed during the attack, "South and North Korea should be reunified

Witnesses said the attack happened suddenly. A knife-wielding man ran screaming up to Lippert as soup was being served for the breakfast meeting and began slashing

Hillary Clinton’s State Department Forced U.S. Ambassador To Resign For Using Private Email

State Department in 2012: Use of private email a no no.

Federalist reported:
Although Hillary Clinton and her allies may be claiming that her private e-mail system is no big deal, Hillary’s State Department actually forced the 2012 resignation of the U.S. ambassador to Kenya in part for setting up an unsanctioned private e-mail system. According to a 2012 report from the State Deptartment’s inspector general, former U.S. ambassador to Kenya Scott Gration set up a private e-mail system for his office in 2011.

The inspector general’s report offered a scathing assessment of Gration’s information security practices — practices that are eerily similar to those undertaken by Clinton while she served as Secretary of State

The inspector general’s report specifically noted that Gration violated State Department policy by using a private, unsanctioned e-mail service for official. In its executive summary listing its key judgments against the U.S. ambassador to Kenya who served under Clinton, the inspector general stated that Gration’s decision to willfully violate departmental information security policies highlighted Gration’s “reluctance to accept clear-cut U.S. Government decisions.”

Napolitano: Hillary Clinton May Have Committed ‘Felony’ Over Emails

Judge Napolitano says "she's in a lot of trouble legally" because she may have retained classified materials outside government computers. Secondly, Clinton may have knowingly or willingly destroyed or concealed government records, which is a felony

newsbusters
On Wednesday night, Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano issued a blistering critique of Hillary Clinton’s ongoing controversy surrounding the use of a private email account while she was Secretary of State. Appearing on  The Kelly File, Napolitano argued that  Clinton may have committed a “felony” and “the other way that she’s in trouble is a person who knowingly and willfully destroys or conceals government records.”

Napolitano then went on to suggest that if Clinton knowingly destroyed government documents on her private email account, she may have committed a felony, which would disqualify her from serving in elected office

Girlfriend of Slain Putin Critic Boris Nemtsov in Hiding

Ukrainian Model Anna Duritskaya has left town, erased all social media profiles and stopped answering her cellphone

latimes reported:
Anna Duritskaya apparently was so afraid that she skipped the Moscow funeral of her slain lover to flee under diplomatic escort to her native Ukraine..

The mystery that lingers: Who might do her harm?

The 23-year-old girlfriend and sole known witness to last week's slaying of Russian opposition leader Boris Y. Nemtsov is in hiding after flying to Kiev following three days of interrogation and just hours before the outspoken Kremlin critic was laid to rest Tuesday in a funeral that drew thousands.

The actress and model has erased her social media profiles. She doesn't answer her cellphone. Shortly after she arrived in Kiev, Ukraine's capital, to calm her anguished mother, the two slipped out of their apartment, which has been besieged by media since the Friday night assassination.

Russian media have portrayed Ukrainian model Anna Duritskaya, the girlfriend of slain Kremlin critic Boris Nemtsov, as a terrified woman exposed to the dangerous consequences of a liaison with an enemy of Russia.

Nemtsov's killing by as-yet-unidentified assailants has stunned an already rattled political opposition in Russia and stirred accusations that his contract-style slaying in the shadow of the Kremlin was politically orchestrated, perhaps by loyalists of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Lt. Col. Ralph Peters: ‘Obama Would Not Shed A Tear’ If Israel ‘Disappeared From The Face Of The Earth Tomorrow’ (VIDEO)

"Let’s face it. If Israel disappeared from the face of the earth tomorrow, Obama would not shed a tear,” Col. Ralph Peters said.

Peters claimed that the administration has accepted that Iran will get a bomb, but it wants a “decent interval of denial” between Obama’s presidency and then.

Peters called Obama “a spiteful failure as president” and told Sean Hannity that he’s ashamed and embarrassed by Obama. 'He is incapable of learning, we have to recognize that,” Peters said. “Six years into his term, he still thinks he can make friends with Iran. It is stunning.”
