Poll: 80 Percent Want People Returning to the U.S. From Ebola Hot-Zone Quarantined

No-brainer

27% say foreign travelers from West Africa shouldn't be allowed into the United States at all

washingtonpost
President Obama is doing reasonably well on this whole Ebola thing -- at least on the public relations front -- but another new poll suggests Americans want him to take actions that he has resisted so far.

The poll, from CBS News, shows a whopping 80 percent of people want American citizens and legal residents returning from West Africa to be quarantined until it is determined that they are Ebola-free. Another 17 percent think they should be allowed to enter the country if they are symptom-free at the time.

The poll, notably, did not specify just how long such people would need to be quarantined -- about 21 days -- or where they would be quarantined. (Such specifics could conceivably reduce support.)

The poll echoes a Washington Post-ABC News poll from earlier this week that showed support for restricting entry from those same countries at 70 percent.

Kerry Condemns 'Chickens**t' Comment: 'It Is Disgraceful, Unacceptable and Damaging'

Secretary of State John Kerry today addressed that anonymous comment from a White House official calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “chickenshit.”

A report earlier this week quoted at least one official calling the Israeli leader a coward for not standing up to his political base and doing what’s right for his own people. Kerry says he doesn't know who these anonymous people are that keep getting quoted in articles.

Video Captures Votes Being Switched From Republican to Democrat in Illinois

There it is right on camera.

Capitol City Project reported:
An Illinois man was well aware of the stories dealing with votes being switched from Republican to Democrat on touch voting machines in his county and decided to record his own results using the camera on his phone.

What exactly did he capture as he was voting? His votes appear to be marked Democrat even though he is trying to vote Republican. The video is slowed down at points to show where his finger is landing.

“I voted in Moline on Monday October 27. I had heard about the machines having issues on TV, but I was shocked when it started happening to me!” the man who uploaded the video on YouTube writes.

According to the video, he voted at the Moline Public Library in Illinois.

As Many As 30 Former GITMO Detainees Back On The Battlefield Fighting For ISIS

Nobody saw this one coming.

Fox News
As many as 20 to 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees released within the last two to three years are suspected by intelligence and Defense officials of having joined forces with the Islamic State and other militant groups inside Syria, Fox News has learned.

The development has cemented fears that the U.S. military would once again encounter militants taken off the battlefield.

The intelligence offers a mixed picture, and officials say the figures are not exact. But they are certain at least some of the released detainees are fighting with the Islamic State, or ISIS, on the ground inside Syria. Others are believed to be supporting Al Qaeda or the affiliated al-Nusra Front in Syria.

A number of former detainees also have chosen to help these groups from outside the country, financing operations and supporting their propaganda campaigns.

Sources who spoke to Fox News were not able to provide the identities of the fighters.

Senior Defense and intelligence officials say the vast majority of detainees released from Guantanamo don't return to the fight -- and of those who do, relatively few have made it to Syria.

Obama in June: Yeah, some Gitmo detainees could return to the battlefield. But we will be 'keeping eyes on them'

Boehner Goes Off on Obama After White House Official Calls Netanyahu 'Chickens**t': "I Have Watched This Administration Insult Ally After Ally"

"It is sometimes hard to tell who Obama thinks is America's friend and who he thinks is America's enemy" -Boehner

speaker.gov

Press Release-

“When the president discusses Israel and Iran, it is sometimes hard to tell who he thinks is America’s friend and who he thinks is America’s enemy. The House of Representatives has no trouble drawing that distinction. Over the last several months, I have watched the administration insult ally after ally. I am tired of the administration’s apology tour.

The president sets the tone for his administration. He either condones the profanity and disrespect used by the most senior members of his administration, or he does not. It is time for him to get his house in order and tell the people that can’t muster professionalism that it is time to move on.”

Iraqi Security Forces Retake Town South of Baghdad From ISIS (Video)

Video shows thousands of shell casings where the ISIS positions were before they were taken over by these Iraqi forces.
They talk to some of the Iraqis who say 'terrorism was defeated'
It is a ghost town now

Just south of Baghdad, Iraqi forces are on patrol in a virtual ghost town. They reclaimed the town after days of fierce fighting, in an operation that is part of a larger effort by Iraqi security forces to prevent Islamic State militants from reaching Baghdad
Iraqi soldier: "Fierce fighting took place, but in the end terrorism was defeated and we captured the bridge. It was very tough. The Iraqi forces have been fighting for control several months. Now our forces are deployed over the bridge, on its left and right sides and the situation is very good, God willing."
Security officials say ISIS militants fled to nearby villages and are still launching attacks.
