Flashback Video- If It Were Up to Obama, There Would Be No Iron Dome

Thousands of rockets fired into Israel. Hundred of lives saved by Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system

In 2007, this genius called missile defense systems 'unproven' and put it under the category of 'wasteful spending.' He promised to slow their development

Obama cut this web ad for the Iowa Caucus4Priorities in 2007

'I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning. And as president I will end it.

Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending. I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems.  And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending'

Study: 35 Percent in U.S. Facing Debt Collectors

A Whopping 77 million Americans have debt 'in collections' at an average of $5,200

cnnmoney
Americans have a debt problem.

An estimated 1 in 3 adults with a credit history -- or 77 million people -- are so far behind on some of their debt payments that their account has been put "in collections."

That's a key finding from a new Urban Institute study. It examined non-mortgage debt, including credit card bills, car loans, medical bills, child support payments and even parking tickets.

The debt in collections ranged from as little as $25 to a whopping $125,000. But the average amount owed was $5,200. Geographically, no area of the country is untouched.

Among the states, Nevada had the highest percentage of residents with debt in collections -- 47% - as well as the highest average amount owed - $7,198. That was helped in part by the Las Vegas metro area, where 49% of residents had debt in collections.

By contrast, North Dakota had the lowest percentage of residents with debt in collections at just 19%, while the District of Columbia had the lowest average dollar amount owed per person at $3,547.

Obama Releases Statement Marking End of Ramadan

OMG.  Anybody else tired of this?

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of Press Secretary-

whitehouse.gov (statement)

"As Muslims throughout the United States and around the world celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes to them and their families. This last month has been a time of fasting, reflection, spiritual renewal, and service to the less fortunate. While Eid marks the completion of Ramadan, it also celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other, especially those impacted by poverty, conflict, and disease.

In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. That is why we stand with people of all faiths, here at home and around the world, to protect and advance their rights to prosper, and we welcome their commitment to giving back to their communities.

On behalf of the Administration, we wish Muslims in the United States and around the world a blessed and joyous celebration"

Eid Mubarak.

Netanyahu: Be Ready for a 'Prolonged' Gaza War

PM Netanyahu said at the very beginning of this conflict that "No international pressure will stop us from acting with full force" and he appears to be sticking to it.

His best bet is to do the exact opposite of whatever the Obama Adm. or Sec of State Kerry tells him

ABC News/AP
Signaling an escalation of Israel's Gaza operation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Israelis Monday to be ready for a "prolonged" war, and the military warned Palestinians in three large neighborhoods to leave their homes and head immediately for Gaza City.

In central Gaza City early Tuesday, at least two major explosions hit a media complex housing the offices of Hamas-run Al Aqsa television and radio. The blasts shook surrounding buildings and started a fire on the roof of the office block, one of Gaza's tallest.

AP video showed a massive flash as the first strike hit the top of the building, sending debris raining down. The building also houses offices of a number of Arab satellite television news channels.

A loud explosion was also heard within the Abu Khadra government complex in Gaza City.

The strikes came during a heavy night of bombardment, with Israeli illumination flares and repeated explosions lighting up the Gaza skyline and turning it orange.

Police Warn Parents of Marijuana Candy Popping Up in Oklahoma

Candy similar to gummy bears

TULSA, Okla. - myfoxdc It may look like candy, but these sweets have an extra punch packed in. Tulsa authorities are discovering new kinds of marijuana candy popping up in the area.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force is on the lookout and warning parents to be on high alert if their kids are getting their hands on it.

The pot is believed to be coming from neighboring Colorado where the drug was legalized earlier this year.

Authorities are finding the patches send THC -- the main ingredient in marijuana -- directly into your system.

They say one of the biggest reasons for bringing the drugs across state borders is the huge profits that can be made from selling it in a state where it's not legal.

United States Accuses Russia of Violating Nuclear Missile Treaty Signed in 1987

Escalation

The Obama administration says Russia has violated a 1987 nuclear pact by testing a ground-launched cruise missile.

An administration official called the matter "very serious" and says the U.S. is "prepared to discuss this in a senior-level bilateral dialogue immediately." The New York Times reports that President Obama notified Russian President Vladimir Putin of the finding in a letter Monday.

The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty bans the possession, production or flight-test of a ground-launched cruise missile with a range capability of 500 to 5,500 kilometers. Russia has reportedly been testing the missiles for years, beginning in 2008, but the matter has only recently been taken up by top U.S. officials. It comes as the relationship between the two nations has strained over the crisis in Ukraine.

The Times notes that the INF Treaty, signed by Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev in 1987, "helped seal the end of the Cold War and has been regarded as a cornerstone of American-Russian arms control efforts."

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton will make two appearances in Kentucky next week with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes.
Grimes' campaign said last week that Clinton would join her at a rally in eastern Kentucky but didn't announce where.

On Monday, the campaign said he would be at events in Lexington and Hazard on Wednesday.

Clinton, who twice carried Kentucky as a presidential candidate, appeared at a campaign event with Grimes in Louisville in February.

Grimes, who is trying to unseat Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, is the daughter of longtime Clinton friend Jerry Lundergan. She is in her first term as Kentucky's secretary of state.

GOP Strategist Ed Rollins: I'm Hearing More 'Rumblings' That Romney Will Run Again

Ed Rollins and Joe Trippi talk election 2014 and 2016 on FNC this morning

Interesting. I would have said after election 2012 that there's no chance Romney will run again, he's made it quite clear. But now I'm not so sure. In the 2 years after Romney's run, it has been proven that he was right on a number of issues including, Iraq, Russia, Putin, the economy and a quite few others. Plus, a CNN Poll released yesterday showed if the election were held today, Romney defeats Obama 53-44.

So maybe he's thinking of changing his mind. There were also a couple of polls that showed Romney leading in New Hampshire in the GOP primary if he were to run in 2016

Fallen Marine's Flag Heads Home After Being Found at a Texas Flea Market (Video)

Woman buys American flag at flee market for $5. The price was marked down because the flag had 'writing on it.' The woman quickly realized that the writing was to a fallen marine.Lance Cpl. Fred Maciel, was killed in Iraq in a helicopter crash in Fallujah. It was his tribute flag.

KPRC - Tucked away in the corner at a flea market in Hemphill, Texas, about a 170 miles away from Houston, Lanie and Walter Brown found a flag with writing on it.

There are about two dozen messages written on it. One said, "We'll always remember the sacrifice you made," and another read, "Thank you for being who you were...Rest in peace."

"We realized it was a flag intended for a fallen Marine," said Lanie Brown. "We knew we had to take it home with us."

The Browns knew it was a tribute flag and from the messages on it, they could tell the fallen Marine's name was Lance Cpl. Fred Maciel. They used the Internet to search for his family, and thanks to Facebook, they located his mother near Houston. The Browns live near Beaumont, about two hours away.

The woman who bought the flag at the flee market found the mother of the fallen Marine through social media. They interview the mom in the video below
