Hannity: 'I Wouldn't Be Happy With Anyone But Newt Gingrich' For Trump's VP

It would be great to see Newt on that debate stage with Hillary's VP

For Sean Hannity, the question of who would be best suited to join Trump on the Republican ticket is clear-cut: It's Newt Gingrich.

Appearing on Hannity's program Monday night, the former speaker of the House heard a cascade of effusive praise and reasoning as to why he would be best positioned to take on the role of Trump's No. 2. Hannity laid out what he saw as the most important questions for the Republican nominee to consider as he weighed choices on his short list, which have been said to include the likes of Gingrich,  Chris Christie, Mike Pence and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn

"Who would be best at prosecuting the case against Hillary in terms of the list that he has? Who would be best in terms of making the case and articulating the case for Trump with a positive voice like you have? Who would be the person that would pretty much be assured a win in any presidential/VP debate?" Hannity told Gingrich. "I think you’ve checked that corner. Who has balanced the budget and given us a surplus? Who has the ability to work with Congress? I check all the boxes, and you're right there at the top, and I think you'd be the right choice. What is your response to that?"

..."I wouldn't be happy with anyone but Newt," Hannity responded. "But that's my opinion."
