In 2009, underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who tried to blow up an airliner on Christmas Day, he was thought to be a lone-wolf attack, the administration calling it a "one off" at the time. It turned out that Abdulmutallab was connected to AQAP, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Krauthammer and Stephen Hayes chalk it up to Obama once again downplaying the threat of radical Islam.
