Residents of Tikrit who fled when ISIS took over return to their battered city.
Businesses and homes torched by fleeing ISIS militants, buildings in the city turned into rubble from the shelling and what's left standing was raided, stealing everything they could carry.
One woman tells CNN she is thankful to be alive but says the city needs stability and security so they can rebuild their lives.
CNN's Ben Wedeman reports that 1,000 people have returned out of a population of 150K.
