Scott Walker Says Jeb Bush Is Too Much of 'A Name From The Past' To Beat Hillary Clinton

Walker: We need a name from the future

Scott Walker says he considers Jeb Bush a friend -- but he also thinks voters may consider Bush too much of a blast from the past to lead the Republicans in a 2016 charge against Hillary Clinton.

"Jeb's a good man. You're not going to hear me speak ill will of Jeb," the Wisconsin governor told the Tampa Bay Times of Bush in an interview published Friday.

"I just think voters are going to look at this and say, 'If we're running against Hillary Clinton, we'll need a name from the future -- not a name from the past -- to win,'" Walker said of the former Florida governor, who's taken an early lead in fundraising for a potential run for the GOP White House nomination.
