Testifying at the trial of another accused plotter, Umar Patek, Bali bomber Ali Imron told a Jakarta court Thursday his brother Mukhlas brought the funds back after meeting bin Laden in Afghanistan in 2001.
Imron is serving a life term for his part in the 2002 outrage that killed 202 people, including 88 Australians, 24 Britons and seven Americans. Mukhlas was executed alongside two other plotters in November 2008.
Patek was once the most wanted terror suspect in Indonesia, who spent nearly a decade on the run and had a $1 million bounty placed on his head by the United States.
He was arrested by Pakistani security forces in Abbottabad last year, three months before US special forces killed bin Laden in a raid on the terror chief's hideout in the city.
