Primary is Tuesday, Romney is now predicting a win in Wisconsin
With a convincing win in Wisconsin's presidential primary on Tuesday, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may finally close the deal with GOP primary voters. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is running on fumes. Congressman Ron Paul is, well, Ron Paul. And former Sen. Rick Santorum now says that the second spot on the ticket doesn't look so bad after all.
Republicans are coming to realize that their flawed front-runner remains the best man to take on President Barack Obama in the fall. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the powerful chairman of the House Budget Committee, became the latest Republican to fall in line on Friday when he endorsed Romney.
We recommend Romney, too, in Tuesday's primary election. He is the clear choice in an uninspired - and now dwindling - field.
