Factor Producer Jesse Waters Confronts Judge Who Gave Probation To Sex Offender

Jesse Waters confonts Missouri Judge John Torrence at a McDonalds

To me it looked like Judge Torrence knew exactly who Waters was when he walked up with a camera and microphone.

Jarred Elwood, 38, pleaded guilty in July to three felony counts. He pleaded guilty to first-degree statutory sodomy, child molestation, and enticement of a child.

If Jarred D. Elwood violates his probation, he will go to prison for 10 years. But if he doesn’t, Elwood could live the rest of his days a free man.
Judge John Torrence on Sept. 1 sentenced Elwood to five years probation after he admitted to sodomizing, molesting and enticing a young girl. Elwood, 38, pleaded guilty in July to three felony counts. He pleaded guilty to first-degree statutory sodomy, child molestation, and enticement of a child. Jackson County Circuit Court Judge John Torrence accepted the guilty pleas.

At the sentencing hearing, Torrence gave him 10 years in prison on the sodomy charge, seven years for the molestation and four years for the inticement. The sentences ran concurrently, meaning only the 10-year sentence would apply.Torrence suspended the sentence and placed Elwood on five years of supervised probation.

The judge’s decision did not sit well with the victim’s family and friends. “I’m pretty much in shock and disbelief,” said Stephanie, the victim’s mother, who The Examiner will only identify by her first name. “He should be serving time.”Many of the details of what Elwood admitted doing to the girl cannot be published. Too graphic.

Moron Who Accused GOP Of Wanting Sick People To “Die Quickly” Not Sorry

Apologize? Ha, that's only for Republicans...

This from the NRCC:
“Alan Grayson not only refuses to apologize, he is doubling down on his despicable remarks and he is dragging his party with him, said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “This is an individual who has established a pathological pattern of unstable behavior."
More at hotair.com

Now this from cbsnews.com, listen to the unbridled arrogance of fat head here:
Grayson said in the interview Wednesday that "no one, other that these Republicans who are desperate to change the subject, has asked me to apologize."The freshman Orlando-area representative, who hails from a swing district and is reportedly being targeted by Republicans in the 2010 election, said he is not worried that his opponents will use the controversy against him.

"No one's drumming me out of office. I beat a forth-term Republican incumbent [in 2008]," he said. "I'm not going anywhere," Grayson added. "I don't even have an opponent yet."
There you have it, he says he's not going anywhere and tells us of the Republican that he beat in the election, the epitome of arrogance...

Despite what he is saying here in the CBS news clip, Alan Grayson won narrowly in 2008.

Hillary Clinton At U.N. "I Kinda Like Being President"

Confirming what we all believe...

Hear that Barack? This means if you get crushed in the mid terms, look for Hillary to give you a primary challenge in 2012

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton liked being president on Wednesday -- at the U.N. Security Council.

"I kind of like being president, so this may go on a little longer than anticipated," she said, prompting laughter from members who were meeting to discuss women, peace and security."

John Boehner Blasts Barack Obama's Olympic Move

"He's the President of the United States, not the mayor of Chicago"

Boehner: "We've got serious issues here at home that need to be debated."

politico.com
House Minority Leader John Boehner torched President Barack Obama Wednesday for his European trip to pitch the Chicago Olympics bid, criticizing the president for "going to go off to Copenhagen when we've got serious issues here at home that need to be debated."

Obama's trip has been maligned by most Republicans as the health care overhaul remains in a continued state of flux in Congress and the top general in Afghanistan awaits word on a troop increase. The White House first said it was unlikely that Obama would go to Denmark because he thought it important to help push health care through Congress.

But earlier this week, the White House announced Obama thought the health care debate was far enough along that he could escape for the day to lobby the International Olympic Committee's voters to bring the games to his home town.

Boehner clearly isn't in that camp. "Listen I think it's a great idea to promote Chicago but he's the president of the United States, not the mayor of Chicago," Boehner said. "And the problems we have here at home affect all Americans and that's where his attention ought to be."
Listen General, we know you need troops right now, but the Olympics coming to Chicago is a priority right now....

Sarkozy Sees Obama As Incredibly Naive & Grossly Egotistical

video via gatewaypundit

"The President of the United States is the leader of the free world and if the President of the United States isn't going to lead the free world, it isn't going to be led"

hotair's Ed Morrissey writes: Jack Kelly tells Fox News that his sources say that French president Nicolas Sarkozy considers Barack Obama “incredibly naive and grossly egotistical,” which says something coming from France. Naivete can be cured if the afflicted is willing to learn, but Kelly also says that Sarkozy is convinced that “nothing can dent [Obama's] naivete,” a quality that we have learned the hard way during the health-care debate.

A French President calling out an American President to lead the free world, who would have ever thought this day would come?

Virginia Governor: McDonnell Pulls Ahead Of Deeds By +14 In Latest SurveyUSA Poll

realclearpolitics
In the race for Governor, Republican Bob McDonnell today defeats Democrat Creigh Deeds by 14 points, 55% to 41%. Compared to identical SurveyUSA polls released four and nine weeks ago, little has changed.

McDonnell receives majorities from both men and women, young and old, rich and poor, college graduates and those who did not attend college. Deeds leads by 3:1 among African Americans, by 7:1 among Democrats and liberals, and by 14 points among moderates. McDonnell and Deeds tie in Northeastern Virginia; McDonnell leads in the rest of the state.

Dan Rather To Be Keynote Speaker At Planned Parenthood Event

Objectivity...

I'm sure he would speak to National Right to Life if asked....

newsbusters
Steven Ertelt at LifeNews.com reported on Wednesday that former CBS News anchor Dan Rather will be the keynote speaker for a Planned Parenthood fundraising dinner in Minneapolis on October 13.

The pro-abortion group, in its announcement for the event, made no secret that it thought highly of the liberal journalist: “Dan Rather, the voice, heart and soul of American journalism, is one of the most recognized and renowned reporters of our time.”

Rather is set to speak at Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota’s annual “Celebrate! Planned Parenthood” dinner at the Minneapolis Hilton.

The LifeNews editor quoted from Scott Fischbach, the director of the pro-life group Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, who took Rather to task: “For years viewers watched Dan Rather deliver the news of the day believing he was objective and fair, while the whole time he harbored anti-life views....Clearly Dan Rather has never been objective, in fact his support of Planned Parenthood proves how radical his views truly are.”

Bernard Goldberg Starts Attacking Foxnews While Talking To O'Reilly

What the heck is he talking about here?

Bernie Goldberg goes into a rant against Foxnews because he claims it's hosts claim to be journalists and give editorial opinions(huh?), he's definitely targeting someone here, (maybe Beck?) for rallying the tea party protests? (Or maybe Griff Jenkins for doing his Tea Party Express reports?) I don't know but he sounded like Chris Matthews spewing venom tonight..

Even O'Reilly, who rarely mentions Hannity's name says that Sean Hannity comes on and calls himself a "Reagan Republican," telling Goldberg, he's not hiding anything, Goldberg continues his rant...

All's Goldberg did tonight was create a 5 minute soundbite that will be used tomorrow by MSNBC...

Goldberg: "Don't pretend that you're being objective, don't go on the air and I don't mean you, I mean others on this network, don't go on the air and say, these Tea Parties are a cross section of America, they are not a cross section of America, don't pretend to be a journalist if you're not a journalist, if you wanna be a commentator, be my guest"

O'Reilly hits him back:
"Glenn Beck comes on, and Glenn Beck now is in the target, he's a big target, he's coming up later on in the program, so lets get Glenn Beck, so what does Glenn Beck do, Glenn Beck comes on and basically says look, I'm every man, I'm not a journalist, he says he's not a journalist, I'm every man and I'm worried about the country and this is why I'm worried...And this is who I like, tea party guys, and this is who I don't like, whoever Beck doesn't like that day. I don't see any subterfuge there at all"

"Sean Hannity comes on right after the factor, and Sean Hannity says look, I'm a Reagan Republican that's who I am, Sean Hannity, he's not trying to fool anybody, he's not trying to say anything like that, he's says I'm a Reagan Republican, so this is how I see the world....Comeon Bernie"..
Bernie responds with saying Fox hosts are giving false information...

O'Reilly stumped by Goldberg's rant, asks "What's the beef?"

Democratic Fundraiser Norman Hsu Sentenced To 24 Years

Maybe someone can ask Hillary about this story...

wcbstv.com
Former Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison Tuesday by a judge who accused him of funding his fraud with a "conniving use of the political process.

"U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero sentenced Hsu to 20 years in prison for his guilty plea to fraud charges and another four years and four months in prison for his conviction at trial for breaking campaign finance laws.

The judge said Hsu stole more than $50 million from hundreds of investors in a 10-year fraud by winning their confidence with a pristine reputation, even as he ripped them off in a complex Ponzi scheme, a recipe that the judge noted fits many white collar crimes. He called Hsu a "wolf in sheep's clothing."Before he was sentenced, Hsu apologized.

His donations became an embarrassment for Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign. His arrest led Clinton to return more than $800,000 to donors linked to Hsu.

New Starbucks Ad Goes After Town Hall Protesters

Town Hall protesters are fair game

thefoxnation
Starbucks is rolling out its own brand of instant coffee this week, and they’re employing a very topical, if slightly risky, ad campaign to do it. First aired during the premiere of Saturday Night Live, this ad for “Via” gambles heavily that the “angry mob” will either have a sense of humor about themselves, or weren’t going to patronize Starbucks in the first place.

The hubbub is warranted for a product that taps into the $20 billion instant coffee market, said CEO Howard Schultz."We're sitting on perhaps the biggest opportunity our company has ever had," he enthused during a conference call with reporters on Friday, which was embargoed until late Monday.

Schultz declined to say how much Starbucks is spending on the ad campaign, but called it "the biggest investment that we've made in a national launch."

**Update** From Breitbart.tv:
Editor's note: We've updated this post with the longer version of the original event. As you'll see in the comments and related links there is a debate over what is actually being said. Does the crowd say, "Hear our cry, Obama" and "Deliver us Obama?" Or are they saying "Oh God?" In the longer version the first two repetitions seem to have a distinct "uh" sound at the end that resonates as "Obama." The later repetitions are a little fuzzier. Did some of the religious leaders present become uneasy? Or was there a mix of what was being said? Read some of the blogger analysis below. What do you think?

61% of Arizona Republicans Say McCain Out of Touch With Party Base

Up 11 points since May

rasmussenreports.com
Arizona Senator John McCain was the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2008, but he’s always had a challenging relationship with the GOP’s base voters.

A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey finds that 61% of Arizona Republicans think McCain has lost touch with those in his own party. That’s up eleven points from 50% in May. Only 33% of the Republican faithful in the state believe McCain has done a good job representing GOP values.

Despite expected challenges to his reelection, 75% of Arizona Republicans say it’s likely McCain will win next year's GOP Primary. Among all voters, 71% believe he will win the nomination. The gap between the number who say McCain has lost touch with the party base and the number who say he’s likely to win the nomination is huge. But 50% of voters nationally think high reelection rates result from election rules that are “rigged to benefit members of Congress.”

Fifty-six percent (56%) of all Arizona voters say they approve of the way McCain is performing his role as senator. Forty-three percent (43%) disapprove. Those figures include 22% who Strongly Approve and 24% who Strongly Disapprove.

Brit Hume On Obama's Iran Policy: "They May Be Laughing Behind Their Hands At Him"

Brit Hume on Obama's falling poll numbers and Iran...

Hume asks whether or not the posture of outreach towards Iran has emboldened Ahmadinejad.
O'Reilly: "Are you surprises [Obama's numbers] are falling so fast and continue to fall?"

Hume: "No I'm really not surprised Bill for this reason, the President is trying to enact a set of policies-a set of left of center policies in a right of center country, and the country will overlook that and forgive that if the results that the President is getting from whatever his policies are, are seen as good"

O'Reilly: "Lets take Iran, it's almost an impossible situation is it not?

Hume: "I think it is a extremely difficult situation, it's certainly one he did inherit, I think however that what can't be measured here and is not easy to see is whether this posture of outreach toward Iran has emboldened Ahmadinejad and the rest of the Iranian hierarchy, the President said he wanted a policy of engagement and so forth and so on, they may be laughing behind their hands at him.

Certainly the actions they have taken are extremely provocative and once the word got out that the Administration had known about it all along about this new facility we hadn't heard about before and then they fire off these missiles, it seems to me that they're thumbing their noses at him"
Later Former Ambassador John Bolton was on Greta and pointed out the Iran's test fire of the Shahab 3 missile was probably planned beforehand, taking place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calender

Bolton: "It was a Happy New Year present from the Iranians to show that they could range Israel with this Shahab 3 missile...

Rasmussen: Record Low 41% Of Voters Nationwide Favor Health Care Reform

How low can it go...

rasmussenreports.com
Just 41% of voters nationwide now favor the health care reform proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s down two points from a week ago and the lowest level of support yet measured.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national survey finds that 56% are opposed to the plan. Senior citizens are less supportive of the plan than younger voters. In the latest survey, just 33% of seniors favor the plan while 59% are opposed.

The intensity gap among seniors is significant. Only 16% of the over-65 crowd Strongly Favors the legislation while 46% are Strongly Opposed.

For the first time ever, a slight plurality of voters now express doubt that the legislation will become law this year. Forty-six percent (46%) say passage is likely while 47% say it is not. Those figures include 18% who say passage is Very Likely and 15% who say it is Not at All Likely. Sixty percent (60%) are less certain.

Video Unearthed: Obama 2008 "Losing Is Not An Option" In Afghanistan

Obama in his own words in an interview with CBS's Lara Logan in Afghanistan

Obama: "This is where they can plan attacks. They have sanctuary here. They are gathering huge amounts of money as a consequence of the drug trade in the region. And so that global network is centered in this area. And I think one of the biggest mistakes we've made strategically after 9/11 was to fail to finish the job here, focus our attention here. We got distracted by Iraq.

Obama on the long haul:
"And despite what the Bush Administration has argued, I don't think there's any doubt that we were distracted from our efforts not only to hunt down al-Qaeda and the Taliban, but also to rebuild this country so that people have confidence that we were to here to stay over the long haul, that we were going to rebuild roads, provide electricity, improve the quality of life for people. And now we have a chance, I think, to correct some of those areas."

Obama: Losing not an option
"Losing is not an option when it comes to al-Qaeda. And it never has been. And that's why the fact that we engaged in a war of choice when were not yet finished with that task was such a mistake."
Maybe someone could send this to General Stanley McChrystal Commander of U.S. Forces Afghanistan who said he needs an additional 40k troops or we will lose in Afghanistan, and losing is not an option according to candidate Obama...

Colin Powell Met With Obama And Expressed Skepticism That More Troops Would Guarantee Success In Afghanistan

Lets get the troop surge wrong twice...

Colin Powell, the titular head of the Republican Party...
Met with Obama in the Oval Office and expressed doubts about adding more troops in Afghanistan...

nytimes.com
WASHINGTON — As President Obama weighs sending more troops to Afghanistan, one of the most consequential decisions of his presidency, he has discovered that the military is not monolithic in support of the plan and that some of the civilian advisers he respects most have deep reservations

From top, Senator Jack Reed, former Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and Senator John F. Kerry have expressed degrees of doubt about the prospect of adding to forces in Afghanistan.
Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal’s troop request, which was submitted to the Pentagon on Friday, has reignited a longstanding debate within the military about the virtues of the counterinsurgency strategy popularized by Gen. David H. Petraeus in Iraq and now embraced by General McChrystal, the top American and NATO commander in Afghanistan.

General McChrystal is expected to ask for as many as 40,000 additional troops for the eight-year-old war, a number that has generated concern among top officers like Gen. George W. Casey Jr., the Army chief of staff, who worry about the capacity to provide more soldiers at a time of stress on the force, officials said.

Among the most important outside voices has been that of former Secretary of State Colin L. Powell, a retired four-star Army general, who visited Mr. Obama in the Oval Office this month and expressed skepticism that more troops would guarantee success. According to people briefed on the discussion, Mr. Powell reminded the president of his longstanding view that military missions should be clearly defined.

Bank Of America "Suspends Current Commitments" With ACORN

Bank of America puts a halt on ACORN

"Will not enter into any further agreements with ACORN"

foxnews.com

Already facing the loss of federal government funding, the community-organizing group ACORN also has run afoul of one of its big corporate partners, Bank of America Corp.
In response to questions from The Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the banking company said it has "suspended current commitments" to ACORN Housing, an affiliated group, and "will not enter into any further agreements with ACORN or any of its affiliates," pending assessments by the bank of the organization's operations.

ACORN, officially the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, has been under fire since the recent release of secretly recorded videos that showed Acorn employees offering advice on evading taxes, setting up brothels and smuggling illegal immigrants.
ACORN has called the actions unacceptable and has fired the workers involved. Last week, ACORN said it has selected Scott Harshbarger, a former Massachusetts attorney general, to investigate any wrongdoing at the organization. ACORN Housing for years has worked with Bank of America and some other big banks on foreclosure-prevention efforts.

"Bank of America takes recent allegations made against ACORN and ACORN Housing Corporation employees very seriously," the bank said in a statement.

60 Minutes: "How often have you talked to the President?"

How about that, President Obama who blasted Bush for taking his eye off the ball in Afghanistan has talked to the Commander of U.S. Forces in Afghanistan once. He has been extremely busy, going on vacation at a $20 million dollar compound in Martha's Vineyard, then coming back and going staight to Camp David, giving speeches to school children, going on 5 Sunday Shows to say the exact same thing, and we can't forget about going on David Letterman,

And gatewaypundit reports Barack Obama will fly to Copenhagen this week to support Chicago's bid to stage the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Good point, plenty of time for the President to make speeches to school children and go on 5 Sunday shows, no time for the war in Afghanistan.

Krauthammer:
"It's true Obama didn't invite leak of the report which forced his hand but if spent a little less time on the all but Fox roundup of Sunday shows and making speeches to school children he might be able to concentrate on Afghanistan, the time is short, you do not want to have weeks and weeks of a President undecided in the middle of a war....

Bill doesn't think the mid term elections will be as bad as they were in 1994, when his party lost 54 House seats and 8 Senate seats, and also voted out a sitting Speaker of the House Tom Foley, everyone thought the GOP would make gains back then but a Republican wipeout was only predicted by Rush Limbaugh and Robert Novak...

The phrase vast right wing conspiracy came from Hillary Clinton in an interview on the Today Show with Matt Lauer in 1998

Obama Addresses Hitler Reference At Black Caucus Conference

He knows that the people who put the Hitler moustache on him are from the fringe group LarouchePAC, but Barry leaves that part out...

How many times have we explained this?

Obama's remarks about Nazi leader Adolf Hitler referred to signs some people have waved outside of often testy town hall meetings around the country this summer where lawmakers discussed changing health care.
foxnews.com
WASHINGTON -- President Obama on Saturday resumed his push to overhaul the health care system, telling a Congressional Black Caucus conference that there comes a time when "the cup of endurance runs over."
"We have been waiting for health reform since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. We've been waiting since the days of Harry Truman," he said in remarks at the caucus foundation's annual dinner.

Obama spent the past week largely focused on global and economic issues in meetings with world leaders in New York and Pittsburgh. At the G-20 economic summit that wrapped up Friday in Pennsylvania, Obama told a story about an unnamed foreign leader who privately told the president he didn't understand the at-times contentious debate over changing the health care system.

"He says, 'We don't understand it. You're trying to make sure everybody has health care and they're putting a Hitler mustache on you. That doesn't make sense to me,"' Obama said, quoting the world leader he declined to identify.
The reference to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was to signs some people have waved outside of often testy town hall meetings around the country this summer where lawmakers discussed Obama's health care plan.

The people behind the Hitler moustache are from Larouche, and Obama should not come across that it came from the average tea party protester. Here's a screenshot of their page on Health Care...

Video Unearthed Obama Blasting McCain And Bush For Taking Their Eye Off The Ball In Afghanistan

As Obama is considering surrendering in Afghanistan, this is candidate Obama from 2008 going after Bush and McCain and talking tough on Afghanistan when he needed the votes...

Every Obama promise has an expiration date....
This was cut from just 2 videos, there's alot more out there that show that tough talking candidate Obama and cut, run and surrender President Obama are 2 different people...
Obama has telegraphed to the world that he just may not be interested in finishing the fight in Afghanistan, the McChyrstal request for more troops has been shelved and now we are considering the so called "costs"....

However, we owe it to the men and women who have already given their lives in Afghanistan to win the war and return home with honor...

Obama Responds To Question On Afghanistan: Get Ready America, Countdown To Defeat

Obama got this question last night at the presser in Pittsburgh on Afghanistan...
Watch how hesitant he is with the answer, does this sound like a President who wants victory?...Listen Carefully

Just think if Obama had the same fervor for victory in Afghanistan as he does with pushing through Government run Health Care that nobody wants.
We tried to warn America during the last election, but America chose to ignore this man's blank resume, zero military experience and history of associations with the radical anti war left. Looks like the America electorate's chickens are coming home...to roost...

This President is not going to follow through on what it takes to win in Afghanistan...Now this from hotair, "McChrystal report officially backburnered now"

Remember when the left crucified Bush for supposedly "not listening to the commanders on the ground?"
Ed Morrissey writes:
Shelving the request makes it clear that Obama and the White House want to conduct a political review of the mission. That’s not illegitimate; after all, part of the consideration has to be whether our allies have the political will to support us in the Af-Pak theater, as well as whether Americans have the political will to continue the fight.

If neither exists, then the entire question of strategy is moot, and the focus will shift to retreat from the theater.
The problem with this is that the Obama administration has already had plenty of time for political calculation. They have been in office since January, and Obama campaigned for two years on the pledge to fight in Afghanistan with more resources and focus than the previous administration. The politics of the war have not changed much, at least in terms other than polling.

Obama wanted to be Commander in Chief, and he has had that role for eight months. The question of politics should have already been well settled by this time. So far he has done a good job of fighting the war in Afghanistan, but this very public vacillation undermines the projection of American strength in the region and encourages a defeatist attitude. It’s time to fish or cut bait on the politics and start seriously addressing the strategy, if we’re going to fight and win this war.

Obama Weekly Address: The Global Citizen Has Complete Faith In The U.N.

Yeah, that U.N. agreement to lock down nuclear weapons has terrorists around the world shaking in their boots...

"All nations have the right to peaceful nuclear energy"
(Except of course, the United States, the left has shot down the idea of Nuclear power continually)
"We also took unprecedented steps to secure loose nuclear materials; to stop the spread of nuclear weapons; and to seek a world without them. As the first U.S. president to ever chair a meeting of the United Nations Security Council, I was proud that the Council passed an historic and unanimous resolution embracing the comprehensive strategy I outlined this year in Prague.

To prevent nuclear weapons from falling into the hands of terrorists, the Security Council endorsed our global effort to lock down all vulnerable material within four years. We reaffirmed the basic compact of the global nonproliferation regime: all nations have the right to peaceful nuclear energy; nations with nuclear weapons have the responsibility to move toward disarmament; and nations without them have the responsibility to forsake them."
Mr. President, we do not have the responsibility toward disarmament...

GOP Weekly Response fires back at Government run Health Care...

Senator Isakson declares that "Americans are rightly concerned about the rush to pass a massive overhaul that will raise their taxes, lower their quality of care and put government between them and their doctor." And that "Republicans believe the key to reforming health care is strengthening the doctor-patient relationship by using choice and competition rather than rationing and restrictions to contain costs and ensure access to affordable health care."

Obama "What If" Ad From 2007, Gonna Bring A Divided Country Together

What a joke..Remember this? What if there was Hope instead of Fear, Unity instead of Division?
File this under comedy...

I found this video in the archives...Here we have the most divisive President in history, putting out an ad about coming together, candidate Obama, the one who was gonna put an end to the partisan divide, the one who ran on a new kind of politics that brings a divided country together, no more redstate/bluestate, there is not a liberal America or a conservative America, there's the United States of America

Complete fraud, he had zero intentions of keeping these phony promises...

Worked across party lines, really?...

Obama At The G-20 On Iran: "I'm Not Interested In Victory"

Oh yes he did say it, first of all, Obama gets hit with a very good question from CBS's Chip Reid

Well done Chip Reid....You showed the President's hand...
Reid: Thank you Mr. President, you just mentioned sanctions that have bite, what kinds of sanction, and I know you can't get into details but what kind of sanctions at all would have bite with Iran, do you really think that any kind of sanctions would have any effect on somebody like Ahmadinejad, secondly some of your advisers today said that this announcement was a victory, do you consider it a victory and if so why didn't you announce it earlier since you have known since you were President elect?..
Obama flustered by the question,
"I'm not interested in victory, I'm interested in solving the problem"
Clearly, today is a big smokescreen, he doesn't wanna come across as "America good, Iran bad," the global citizen is all talk here, we're not going to do anything to Iran other than go to the U.N. and write up another meaningless resolution that will be quickly ignored...

Obama shows that you can be well spoken, and say nothing...
The President is like a state of the art bank, with no money in the vault....

Foxnews: Chariman Of The Joint Chiefs Mike Mullen Met With General McChrystal At Ramstein Air Base In Germany

Adm. Mike Mullen, General Stanley McChrystal and General Petraeus meet...

foxnews.com
Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, received the widely anticipated troop request Friday from the top commander in Afghanistan, aides told FOX News.
Mullen, accompanied by Gen. David Petraeus and other top military officials, met at Ramstein Air Base in Germany with Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who is expected to ask for 30,000 to 40,000 additional troops. Mullen is now headed back to the U.S., FOX News has confirmed.

Mullen asked McChrystal for the meeting earlier in the week following the leak of McChrystal's strategic assessment to hear directly from his commander what resources and how many troops he will need to succeed in Afghanistan, aides told FOX News.
"He wanted to understand the request for himself before it arrives in Washington and he is asked to discuss, defend it," an aide told FOX News.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates is expected to receive the troop request Friday. But Gates will hold onto the request until the White House and Pentagon get to a "proper stage" in their assessment of the war in Afghanistan, a Pentagon spokesman said earlier this week, explaining that it is premature for the request to be considered until the assessment is fully reviewed.

Mullen hand-picked McChrystal to lead the fight in Afghanistan after firing Gen. David McKiernan in May.

McCain To Host Romney Fundraiser

Romney could have drawn out a long fight in the primary of 2008 but didn't, he surprised everyone and conceded, then endorsed McCain at that CPAC speech in order to unite the party during a time of war...
