Statement from President Obama
The White House issued a statement Sunday evening from President Obama on the murder of George Tiller. Here's what the president said:

We'll see if the Administration blames anyone outside of the person who committed this act, I like everybody else think this will be an opportunity to demonize the right wing...
Obama said at his commencement address at Notre Dame on Abortion:
"When we open up our hearts and our minds to those who may not think precisely like we do or believe precisely what we believe -- that's when we discover at least the possibility of common ground."

And having shown their hand in the April 7th Memo from DHS, today's incident may be a political opportunity for the Administration...
Department of Homeland Security Assessment on Rightwing Extremism, April 7th
(U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.
It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
